as always, they included a note that says “Please don’t approach this as a paid gig or a money-making booking, because there is no financial guarantee…” blah, blah, blah…
the fact is, the moisture festival is STILL one of my “top paying gigs” every year, and the fact that i’m on SSDI doesn’t matter.
at the same time, $50 a share is as high as it’s been since i started keeping track… i wonder if this means that i’m one of those people who has been making money because of the pandemic? 😒
shit. if I could have played this year enough for 5 shares I could buy the UBass I lust after.
but not having a bass instrument to record with just feeds right into the “too depressed to be arsed” excuse for not making much audio recording, right?
should probably consider it a near miss and breathe a sigh of relief.
when stuart called me regarding fluffing this year, he mentioned you right off the top, and was extremely disappointed when i told him you were temporarily indisposed. my impression is that, if you were here, you would have had at least 5 shares.
