yesterday, i took our old barbecue to be recycled, and when i returned home, there was a fedex package waiting for me on the front porch… addressed to “BRIAN SALAMAN”…?
it was a roughly cube-shaped box, and, for its size, it really didn’t weigh that much.
that is NOT my name, and it is not even what i put into web forms for stuff when i don’t want them to know what my name is… but it is close enough to my name that i didn’t feel too uncomfortable opening the box to see what was inside, but, initially, that didn’t help much.
what was inside was a craft-paper wad, covered in tape. it weighed less than what i was expecting, and, at first, i thought it might be a hat, or something like that, since i have received hats in boxes like that before… but i didn’t remember ordering a hat, so it was still a puzzle.
cutting through the tape, and tearing away the craft paper didn’t help much, at first. it was a dry, vaguely whitish-blue mass of… something… wrapped in plastic, but i still wasn’t sure, until i looked more closely, and realised…
it is mushrooms! 🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄
i ordered a pound (well, 448 grams, or 15.8 ounces, which is .2 ounces LESS than a pound) of mushrooms on 250514, and it took them FOUR DAYS to package them up and get them to me.
addressed to the wrong person, but… it’s mushrooms, so i figure it is close enough. 😉
i have a friend in hawaii who wants microdose capsules, so he and i went in on a pound, so that there would be plenty of capsules for a few years, because who knows what the “legal” situation is going to be in the future (or even next week 😒)…
i really DO NOT understand the legality (or lack thereof) of shipping mushrooms by fedex, but i have gotten them two other times, from the same folks, in the past (first time was less than an ounce, second time was a couple ounces), and they definitely ARE the “right kind” of mushrooms… and i am definitely NOT going to complain about it! 😉
so, now it’s time to make some more capsules. 😉
