so, naturally, last night we had the first real hard rain — which makes me REALLY glad i put up the canopy last week! seriously… phew! — and so i decided not to wait until “tomorrow” (which is now today) to harvest the two that i had finished manicuring yesterday, so, at 22:00 i was out, with my headlamp, harvesting plants and moving the rest of them around, under the canopy, so that they were less likely to get wet if the corners failed… and getting thoroughly wet in the process of clearing water from the edges of the canopy so that the canopy would be less LIKELY to fail…
and then, today, i finished manicuring the remaining plant that did NOT come from bellingham, and decided that it was ready to harvest, so i harvested it, which now means that 5 of the 9 outside plants are in the bag. the remaining 4 plants are ones that came from bellingham — they are the plants you can actually see in the photo, the two paper markers in the photo are the two space queen plants that i harvested last week… it strikes me a little strange that the plants that i started from seed are already harvested, and the plants that were starts at the same time that i was starting the others from seed, are now the plants that i figure could use another month, more-or-less, before they’re even ready for harvest.
also, there’s the start which i got from darol, that i gave to tracy, my next-door neighbour, who planted it outside and, basically, ignored it… and it grew, and grew, and grew, AND GREW, AND GREW!! 😲 that is a six-foot security fence, and the plant TOWERS over it! i don’t know what he’s planning on doing with it, especially now that the rains have started, but it is, literally, the cannabis plant that ate chicago!! 🤣👹
