I notice from reading comments on “Reclaim the Swastika” that there are some Holocaust-deniers and a full spectrum of crazies leaving comments there. I am saying this as one who collects Native American swastika jewelry and who feels the symbol should be liberated from its legacy of fear.
However, it’s hard to deny the power the swastika (turned diagonal) gained as the appropriated symbol of the Third Reich; educating the public away from this legacy of fear is a huge task.
