autism quotient test, or
autism quotient test, or
autism quotient test: yes, it’s the one by simon baron-cohen (the first cousin of sacha baron-cohen, tee hee). the same test, but different formats, the first two are CGI scripts (the 2nd one doesn’t quite work the way it’s supposed to) and the last one relies on flash. oh well…
i scored a 43, whatever that means.
It seems to me that it is heavily skewed to identify introverts as autistic.
It is, as well as strongly skewed toward Baron-Cohen’s theories about autism (which aren’t necessarily supported by reality IMO). One does need to dislike social situations in addition to introversion to score high though; I know an introvert who does enjoy social situations who only scored 16 on the test. I find the test somewhat questionable because I find Baron-Cohen’s theories somewhat questionable (e.g. the idea that autism is “extreme male brain” and “lack of empathy” with “empathy” more defined as “social norms” rather than actual empathy, etc.) I think the test may be OK for a very broad “sketch” of who is likely to be autistic, but should absolutely not be taken as a definitive means of classification (plus some people who score low on the test are in fact autistic).

But even if true, irrelevant. Doesn’t impair my day2day
according to the people who buy in to that sort of thing, any score over 32 means a strong possibility that you have asperger’s syndrome…
i got 26.
*shrug* I think that it means not very much. I scored a 33.
